At Grove Academy, we foster an environment of acceptance and tolerance by creating awareness of prejudiced based bullying. We make sure our pupils know how to report it and get support.

During assembly, we talked about legally protected characteristics. Being kind is part of the values and ethos at Grove Academy. Our reminder to all pupils and staff is:

"Don't be careless with your use of language. Often things that are said are not intended to cause offence or upset anyone but we have to remember that we are in a professional environment and our language and comments have to be appropriate for everyone.
