This week was careers Week for Year 10 at Grove Academy. This event presented an opportunity for students to gain an insight into the relevance each subject holds in the working world. Teachers delivered presentations linking their subject with existing industry roles and careers. The purpose of this event was to offer insight, exploration and knowledge about prospects in the working world and to hopefully plant the seeds that will grow into career aspirations.

Students were visited by Lauren Johnson from Aston Bond Law Firm who talked to students about careers in the legal profession and her own journey of learning, training and experience as a Solicitor in Litigation and Dispute Resolution. Students had many questions about entry paths, legal fields, salary expectations, working hours and perks as well as some interesting enquiries about what goes on in a court room.
