2023 GCSE Exam Results.

Staff congratulated Grove students who celebrated our second ever set of GCSE results for the school.

We are pleased to share that 50% of students in English and maths exceeded grade 4+ and 55% of students achieved 4+ in GCSEs. Strong passes in core subjects also improved from last year. In particular, maths achieved 66% 4+ and 45% 5+, English achieved 60.3% 4+ and 48.7% 5+, Science achieved 58% 4+ and 5+ 44.5%.

We are proud to see our students continue to perform when the criteria returns to pre-covid levels. We now look ahead to benchmarking these figures against the national landscape. Staff have been proud to guide this Year 11 cohort through their final year at Grove Academy. Our students have a broad set of destinations which include grammar schools, colleges, sixths forms and the armed forces.

Special mention should go to Sallie Chourbagi, who achieved a wonderful 3 level 9 grades, 3 level 8 grades and 2 level 7 grades; and Muhammad Harris who received 1 level 9 grade, 5 level 8 grades and 1 level 7 grade. They are shining examples for current Key Stage 3 and 4 students of what they can achieve through hard work and diligence.

Sallie commented, “I am delighted to get the results I needed with the support of the staff at Grove. I can continue my A level studies at Grammar School”.
