Celebrating positive behaviour

Assemblies will take place at the end of next week and certificates will be awarded by teachers to students for exemplary work and effort in class.

Our 'Class Charts Champions' will also be off-timetable after lunch for one day at the end of next week, enjoying a film and some popcorn to celebrate positive behaviour and how these students have modelled this to their peers.

Secondary Non Uniform Day

To mark the last day of term, we are inviting secondary students to wear their own clothes instead of their uniform on Friday 22nd October, and we ask that students who take up this opportunity, donate £1 to charity. On this occasion we will be raising money for Slough Foodbank, an independent charity working towards stopping hunger in our local area.

This will be a normal full school day, and so students should come prepared for their lessons, ensuring they have all necessary equipment, and PE kit if required. We expect our students to continue to meet our high expectations for behaviour, and mobile phones should not be seen or heard. Please note that non-uniform is optional, and any student not wishing to participate and/or donate, should come to school in their Grove uniform as normal. Donations will be collected by staff at the earliest opportunity on Friday morning.

Sports clubs and fixtures

Judo club runs every Monday after school in the dance studio and all students are welcome to attend.

The Year 8 football fixture against Wexham School will now take place on Monday 18t October.

COVID 19 test kits

We hope you are enjoyed some less interrupted learning this term now that the COVID restrictions have been updated We would ask that students continue to test twice weekly and want to remind students in Years 7 – 11 that tests are available to them to take home for use. Please talk to your form tutor or head of year who will be able to provide you with test kits.
